Brown wants new deal for Smith

Former Scotland manager Craig Brown has urged the Scottish Football Association to tie up Walter Smith on a new contract as soon as possible.
Brown believes Smith will be in demand after guiding the Scots to a famous victory over France at Hampden last night. The win propelled Scotland to the top of their European Championships qualifying group with a 100% record from their opening three games.
Brown said: "It would be a good idea to prevent Walter from being poached by a big club or even another country. But Walter is a big Scotland fan and I'm sure he has no plans to go anywhere."
