Sir Bobby Robson has been given the medical all-clear to resume his role with the Republic of Ireland.
International football consultant Robson on Tuesday spoke with Football Association of Ireland chief executive John Delaney to discuss his future. Robson has missed Ireland's last four matches following two operations to remove cancerous growths., but he has been given the all-clear and is back, starting with next month's Euro 2008 qualifier with San Marino.
Robson said: "I have been given the all-clear by the doctors and I am looking forward to getting back to doing the job I was employed to do."
