United need Giggs

The difference that Ryan Giggs makes to the United side is amazing. The wing wizzard still has the class and skill to unlock any defence and without him they look lost. Giggs has recenlty returned following a couple of weeks out with an injury and this will be welcome news for United manager Alex Ferguson, who realises the attributes that Giggs brings to his side. 

Yesterday Ferguson, stated that he got it wrong when he altered his formation. In which he deployed Rooney in a wide left position. Consequently Rooney played poorly in the first half and indeed so did the team and they trailed Wigan by one goal at half time. However the second half was a totally different story as United dominated. Furthermore Ryan Giggs was brought on and as a result United, looked like a more balanced and composed side. 

The result ended in a 3-1 victory to Manchester United and Rooney performed like he has in the past and could easily have scored but for bad luck. His contribution though was very much needed as he set up two of the goals as United romped away with a victory from the JJB. 

Man United now enter a tough week but the fit Ryan Giggs will surely provide the inspiration for United as they search for European and domestic glory.
