Arsene Wenger will allow Theo Walcott to continue his footballing education on the wing for the next two seasons in order to turn the youngster into a striker to be feared.
Walcott made his second Arsenal start at West Brom on Tuesday night and turned in an impressive performance as the Gunners eased to a 2-0 Carling Cup triumph which puts them into the last 16 of the competition.
"When you have a player like Theo, it is important to let him develop on the wing," said Wenger, mindful Thierry Henry started life on the left flank. "He has to learn how to dribble and gain confidence in attacking people in one-on-one situations."
