Cork star Roy O'Donavan is a wanted man. However his Club Cork City have turned down offers from two hight profile English clubs.O'Donovan, 21, scored 11 goals in as many games at the end of the season and made his senior Irish debut in last week's 'B' international against Scotland.

His display there has alerted scouts of his ability, and both Wolves and Wigan have enquired about the prospect of signing the Irish under-21 star in the New Year transfer window.

Cork saw Kevin Doyle leave for a mere ?70,000 last year - the striker was linked with an £8m move to Blackburn Rovers recently - and they are keen to avoid losing another of Ireland's most promising young players for a similarly cut-price deal.

O'Donovan, who spent time as a trainee at Coventry City before returning home two years ago, has one year left on his existing contract at Turners Cross.
