Derry City missed a vital chance to close the gap on Premier Division leaders Shelbourne on Friday night, failing to break down a spirited and well-organised Bray Wanderers side at the Brandywell.
Bray had lost three of their previous four-games by four-goal margins or more, but they set their stall out to defend a scoreless draw on Friday night and Eddie Gormley's tactics worked a treat.
Derry had few chances in the first half but as the game became a little more stretched after the break, eventually succeeded in creating openings in front of goal.
When they came, however, they were unable to find the target, with Mark Farren heading wide from close range and Stephen O'Flynn's effort hitting the bar in injury time.
