Polish international goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek is in line for his first game of the season tomorrow, when Liverpool face Birmingham in the Carling Cup fourth round at St Andrews.

Dudek has completed a three-match suspension after being sent off in a reserve game, and although there is also an FA charge still pending, Liverpool have applied for a personal hearing so the 33-year-old can step in for Jose Reina tomorrow.

Liverpool, who won 7-0 at St Andrews last term in the FA Cup quarter-finals, could also give run-outs to Robbie Fowler, Mark Gonzalez, Craig Bellamy, Gabriel Paletta and Danny Agger.
