Albert Luque admits he could seek a return to Spain if he continues to be overlooked at Newcastle United, with former club Barcelona near the top of his list of ideal destinations.

Luque has made just three substitute appearances for Newcastle in the league this season, even though the Magpies have suffered a dismal start to the campaign and are currently stuck in the bottom three of the Premiership.

"In England I am not playing as much as I would like, and for that reason I do not rule out returning to Spain," the 28-year-old told Radio Marca.
