Former criminal and current Shels supremo Ollie Byrne , stated that With the relation to the Bohemians and Shelbourne case, the incident happened on the 18th of August and we formally lodged our protest by the 21st of August.
"We respect the League's right to go to arbitration but we find it extraordinary that it took until the first week of November for a verdict to be reached.
"With the matter going to arbitration, it's likely that it will not be resolved by the end of the season and therefore we call on the League to cancel the remainder of the League matches until such a time as there is a conclusion reached in relation to this situation."
Consequently Ollie has now casued further chaos within the Eircom league. The man is under severe pressure as he cannot even pay his own players any wages over the last couple of weeks. As a result Mr. Byrne is doing his best to destroy the name of the league as his club Shelbourne FC look destined to become extinct as the Euros are quickly running out for Ollie.
The league is scheduled to finish on Friday week next (November 17th), but with the eircom League's Board of Control taking the option of referring the Jason McGuinness issue to arbitration on Saturday, it is almost certain that the destination of the title will be decided at a later date.
The problem centres around the decision of the FAI Appeals Board to recommend a replay of the Premier Division fixture in which McGuinness played for Bohemians against Shels while he should have been serving a ban.
