Jurgen Klinsmann was "fully satisfied" at Germany's successful completion of the second phase of their World Cup training programme.

The tournament hosts will return home on Tuesday following a five-day recreational break in Sardinia, which was followed by nine exhausting days in Geneva. Klinsmann's troops face Japan in their penultimate friendly on Tuesday and Colombia on Friday before their much-anticipated World Cup opener against Costa Rica next week.

"We have accomplished our goals and can enter the decisive phase with a lot of optimism," said Klinsmann. "The training camp proved to be a full success. All went very well and we did everything we wanted to do."
