Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger knows there is plenty more to come from Theo Walcott - but insists he will not rush the youngster into regular first-team football.
The 17-year-old came off the bench to make his Gunners debut against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Wenger must now decide whether to hand Walcott a first start in Wednesday night's Champions League qualifier second leg - a tie which his side lead 3-0 on aggregate.
"He is a very confident boy, level-headed, quite quiet but very strongly determined," Wenger said. "Theo believes in his potential. He made the choice and will stick to it and I think he will develop very well. We have also to speed up his progress as much as we can, but take the right pace in those kind of things."
