Ledley King insists Tottenham should be European regulars as he prepares to lead the club into action on foreign soil for the first time in this millennium.

King, back in action after five months out with foot and knee injuries, will captain Martin Jol's side in their UEFA Cup first-round first-leg tie against Slavia Prague on Thursday night.

"A team like Tottenham should be in Europe, season-in and season-out," he said. "We are delighted to be back in at the moment, and the group of players we have are very hungry."
