Real humbled again
Lyon once again gave Real Madrid a Champions League lesson as they posted a deserved 2-0 victory over their Group E rivals at the Stade Gerland on Wednesday evening.
First-half goals from Fred and Tiago were sufficient for the French champions to claim another famous victory against the team they beat 3-0 in last year's competition when the Spanish giants were in the dying months of the "galacticos" era.
It gave Lyon a flying start and means Real must pull their socks up if they are to progress to the knockout stages of the competition they have won nine times.
