Liverpool Manager Rafa Benitez, may have acheived sucess with his current side by claiming the Champions League. However this is not good enough to the majority of Liverpool fans.

Liverpool have yet to illustrate why they should be considered champions of the Premier League. Every year they are tipped by many to be the dark horse in the Premiership but the result is failure and at most third or fourth place in the league which secures the Anfield Club a Champions League position. 

The fact remains however the Liverpool have not won the league in many years and this is an insult to its fans and proud history. It is clear that Rafa has improved the squad since taking over but league sucess still seems a strategic goal for the Spanish boss. Benitez will remain in his position for this season for certain but next year he will be under servere pressure to deliver the goods for his employers and avoid silly results like last night produced.
