Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard today warned local rivals Everton that The Red's strike force is finally coming together.
15 goals were scored by Liverpool in just three games after the 7-0 hammering of Birmingham in midweek, and finally it looks like the partnerships upfront are coming together.
Djibril Cisse, Peter Crouch, Robbie Fowler and Fernando Morientes had only scored one goal between the four of them prior to the 5-1 win over Fulham last week, but now the strikers are picking up form.
"I was listening to some of the Everton players saying they were happy to be coming to Anfield full of confidence but it's the same for us now, and that makes the derby a lot more interesting!" said Steven Gerrard.
"We've been getting criticised for not scoring goals of late but hopefully we have proved the critics wrong. We were really pleased with our performance at Birmingham," added the England star.
Peter Crouch was criticised over whether or not he could cope at the top level for such a highly rated club, and after failing to make the net in his first eighteen games for The Red's the statements were beginning to come true.
However Crouch seems to have found form and has now scored four goals in his last three matches and has scored 11 goals this season and will be looking to continue the fine form and try and break the twenty-goal mark barrier.
