Tottenham Hotspur extended the contracts of youngsters Aaron Lennon and Michael Dawson. The players have committed themselves to the club until 2010 and 2011.

18-year-old Lennen and 22-year-old Dawson were rewarded with their long-term contracts after their consistent performances at White Hart Lane.

Spurs sporting director Damien Comolli said: "It's terrific for the club. These are two young English players who have shown their ability early on and the contribution they can make to our squad. Both players have the potential to go on to be full internationals and we are delighted they have underlined their commitment to us by further extending their contracts."
