Manchester United chief executive David Gill has revealed that Malcolm Glazer and his family are 100% behind Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson's future has been questioned, after United have failed to win the Premiership for the past three years, however Gill explained that American tycoon Malcolm Glazer is happy with the performance of the boss.

"The Glazers have the top guy, they know it and nothing will change. They are very comfortable with Sir Alex and never question his position. They recognised straight away that he was a key part of the strength of the club. One day there will be a change, but we hope that is a long way off," he told the News of the World.

Gill also admitted that it would be the wrong decision to remove Sir Alex from the position of manager.

"Yes maybe he would have gone at certain clubs, but is that right?" Gill said. "Look at Real Madrid. Where have they ended up?"

"We are different - we stick with our people. We have a great manager and, while he has the enthusiasm and the knowledge to develop players like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, we don't want to change. If Malcolm Glazer were here, he would say the same," added Gill.

United face Arsenal today in what promises to be another crunching Premiership clash, if Arsenal lose, then their dreams of playing in Europe are almost certainly out of the window.
