Arsenal Winger Robert Pires' future remains in the balance after confirming interest from Villarreal and now revealing contact from Italian duo Roma and Fiorentina.

The Frenchman, out of contract in the summer, came on as a second half substitute in the Champions League semi-final against Villarreal to little effect. It is thought that the classy winger will not be interested in a bit part season next term and a move could be on the cards for the 32-year-old. Pires confirmed contact from the two Italian clubs which further suggest his departure.

"Roma and Fiorentina contacted me," Pires told Sky Italia. The addition of Pires to either club would be a big boost for their Eurpean aspirations next term as they battle it out for places in the Champions League with Fiorentina and Roma currently 4th and 5th respectively in the Serie A this term.
