O'Neil inspires Pompey win

Portsmouth plundered their third win in a row, a 3-1 success at Fulham boosting their hopes of avoiding relegation from the Barclays Premiership.

England full-back Wayne Bridge - under the watching gaze of Sven-Goran Eriksson - blundered inside the first minute to give Harry Redknapp's side the lead.

In front of his international manager, in the crowd to keep an eye on the man who has suffered from hip and ankle problems, Bridge missed the ball in attempting to clear Benjani Mwaruwari's cross, leaving Pompey captain Gary O'Neil to convert from six yards.
