Sir Alex Ferguson declared himself satisfied with his team's effort at the Parken Stadium despite Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to FC Copenhagen.

Ferguson felt the Red Devils dominated most of the contest but, after failing to take their many chances, slipped to defeat when Marcus Allback bundled home 17 minutes from time. The result ended United's 100% start to Group F and leaves them needing a draw at Celtic in three weeks` time to seal a place in the last 16.

"I am satisfied with the effort of my players," said Ferguson. "I thought we controlled the game for most of the night and didn't look like losing a goal. But we defended badly at one corner and lost the game."
