Sam Allardyce fears the worst for Tottenham in their quest for a Champions League spot.

Martin Jol's side are completing the Premiership campaign against the backdrop of knowing Arsenal will dump them into the Uefa Cup if they win the Champions League regardless of their respective finishing positions.

And, having flown to Catalonia to watch tournament favourites Barcelona squeeze past AC Milan on Wednesday, Allardyce said: "It was a fascinating game on Wednesday and Barcelona did enough to clinch the tie but, looking at Arsenal and the mood they are in, I would not write them off."
