Regular England international Cole completed a 90 minute match for the first time in six months putting in an impressive performance angainst Coventry Reserves and is now looking for a International place for the world cup. Cole is also said to be returning to the Arsenal first team squad for their match against Sunderland on May the 1st.

Eriksson and Grip have other injury worries with Ledley King and Michael Owen both nursing a broken foot and Arsenal's Sol Campbell having an operation on a broken nose he sustained in his comeback match against in form Portsmouth,

Young, Gael Clichy also started the reserve match that saw Arsenal reserves win 4-0 over a sorry Coventry reserve side, it was also his first game for 5 months. He and Cole are said to have played well at left back and on the left wing with the pair switching between the two at half time helping to create goals for Arsenals Nicklas Bendtner, Jay Simpson and Sebastien Larsson.
