England captain David Beckham admits his three-year trophy drought at Real Madrid has fuelled his appetite for success in the World Cup.
Beckham has not won a major honour since leaving Manchester United for Spain in 2003. Real have finished runners-up behind Barcelona in the last two seasons and the England captain is anxious to add a new medal to his haul from Old Trafford.
Beckham, 31, said: "At United there was only one year when we went without winning anything so it's a strange feeling but it gives you that push to go on and try to win something."
