Owen Hargreaves was omitted from Bayern Munich's squad for the Bundesliga match with Bochum on Sunday.

The news comes after a week in which the England midfielder made it clear he was keen on joining Manchester United, interest reciprocated by Sir Alex Ferguson, the manager of the English side.

Hargreaves, 25, was not even named on the bench by Bayern coach Felix Magath although the club has vowed to do what they can to keep him on board.
