Michael Carrick has urged England to forget their disappointing draw with Macedonia and go into Wednesday's qualifier in Croatia with clear minds.
Steve McClaren confessed his team had lacked quality in Saturday's stalemate at Old Trafford. He has demanded a rapid response from his players as they prepare for one of the toughest fixtures of their Euro 2008 campaign, away to Croatia in Zagreb.
Carrick said: "We have to move on and it is a test for us in Croatia. We know we are better than we showed on Saturday. The measure of the team is how we respond to the first disappointment under the new manager."
